In New Orleans during Mardi Gras, they have an expression — laissez les bon temps rouler – meaning “let the good times roll.” We’d say the same  about our activities in 2018 and for what we see ahead in 2019. It’s been another growth year for us at xLM Solutions as we expand our global PLM implementation and consulting services.  We expect the good times to keep on rolling in 2019.

A Big Change for xLM Solutions

In 2018, xLM Solutions became a Value Solutions Partner of the world-leading solution provider Dassault Systèmes. As a Value Solutions Partner, we are assisting engineering and manufacturing enterprises with their requirements analysis, technology review and implementation, solution configuration and customization, data migration, and support and maintenance. Our expertise covers the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, and the ENOVIA, CATIA and SIMULIA brands.

Our partnership with DS means we will continue to guide manufacturers in their digital transformation. From initial planning to post-deployment support, we are driven by our customers’ needs for the right technology. This partnership program is the perfect fit for our expertise in engineering, data management and product lifecycle management solutions.

xLM Customer Success Stories

Throughout 2018, we focused on our specialties in product lifecycle management. Many customers sought guidance for data migration projects and system upgrades to improve their PLM implementations. We designed and installed unique custom solutions for our customers to fit their specific requirements.

We had several projects, for example, that called for our SOLIDWORKS PDM Merge tool. Companies can sometimes end up with more than one SOLIDWORKS PDM vault, often the result of acquisitions of companies also using SOLIDWORKS PDM. Merging these vaults increases collaboration and re-use and lowers IT server costs. It means that the companies can more efficiently collaborate on a single SOLIDWORKS PDM instance. Our customers for these projects were in the high tech and oil/gas industries but the Merge tool is applicable across all industries.

2018: xLM’s Year of Excellent Webinars

A big focus of our activities in 2018 was on webinars, where we shared our expertise in data migration, PLM selection and implementation, and PLM customization. Some product-focused and some services-focused, these webinars delivered real-world experiences and hands-on knowledge about important subjects in the PLM industry.

During the second half of the year, we handpicked specific webinars hosted by Dassault Systèmes to promote to our followers because they produced the results enterprises need and want. These webinars focused on different aspects of 3DEXPERIENCE, and ENOVIA, CATIA and SIMULIA to help enterprises work better and faster with improved ROI.

We will continue to promote DS webinars in 2019 that offer value and concrete solutions to your PLM projects.

xLM at User Conferences

As always, we strive to stay on top of industry trends and customer needs by attending user conferences and industry seminars. During 2018, we presented at and/or attended the following major conferences:

• SOLIDWORKS World 2018 in Los Angeles in February, where we joined the community to “LEARN, PLAY, WORK, CONNECT, IGNITE” and to network with the SOLIDWORKS user community. Read more about our Takeaways from SOLIDWORKS World 2018. We’ll be attending SOLIDWORKS World 2019, Where Possibility Takes Form, February 10-13, 2019, in Dallas.

• Dassault Systèmes Community of Experts COE 2018 Annual Experience and TechniFair in April, where we presented two different sessions: How to Implement a Simple Customization in 3DEXPERIENCE and Migrating Data to 3DEXPERIENCE. We’ll be attending Dassault Systemes Community of Experts COExperience Annual PLM Conference & TechniFair, February 24-27, 2019 in New Orleans.

• xLM Solutions moderated a SmarTeam Roundtable discussion among current SmarTeam users. We discussed what’s next for SmarTeam and looked at the process for moving from SmarTeam to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
• We’re looking forward to the Aras ACE 2019 conference, Innovate, Transcend, Realize, April 15 -18, in Phoenix.
