Curtain is a data security system that protects your design files from unauthorized accesses and theft. Curtain allows users to access the design files through native CAD applications such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, but FORBIDS operations such as Print, Save As, or Send files to external sources (including optical discs, USB flash drives, web-based email system, etc.).

Curtain Technology creates a special directory called the “Protected Directory” on the client machine. When an user accesses the design files stored on the server, the files will be automatically downloaded to the client’s Protected Directory. The user may then access (e.g., New Copy, Rename, Delete, and Edit) the files within the Protected Directory according the predefined access policy.  The user is not permitted to copy the files from the Protected Directory to any external sources. Modified files may be uploaded to a designated location on the server.
